The Art and Science of Sourdough

This is a fully hands on bread making class for sourdough. Learn the essentials of creating and maintaining natural starters, preparing sourdough breads and techniques for pulling, shaping, forming, scoring and baking. Most importantly, we want to help you understand the reason how each step and timing matters in the process. We'll help with everything from choosing the right ingredients to understanding the growth phases of your sourdough starter to adjusting bread formulas and other parameters so you can successfully experiment at home with new flavors and textures. Each participant will go home with their own dough created in class and a sourdough starter culture. Plus, you'll receive access to a Sourdough Calculator & Schedule to easily scale/adjust the recipe to your liking and customize the timing to fit your needs. All materials supplied. Class runs approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. Please kindly note our classes are for adults.
